This year I decided to actively learn skiing. Finally, after twenty-five years, my "TV fans&We waited for Sunday walks in the suburban forest. Winter this year really came only in the middle of January. But how she came! With heavy snowfall, snow-laced trees and a light, pleasant frost. What you need for a real skier.
And my winter adventures began. The life of an ordinary office worker is so arranged that in winter you can only get out into the forest on weekends. It's already dark after work in winter, and if you break off during the day, it's a little scary: on weekdays there's usually no one in the forest. But there was one weekday when I couldn't resist and flew into the woods in the middle of the day. A lone figure without skis loomed at the entrance to the forest… It's strange, and somehow "oh". But she wasn't. She drove closer. It turned out to be a photographer who, inspired by the extraordinary winter beauty, was in a hurry to take it all on camera. Driving deep into the forest, I realized that I was completely alone. It's such an indescribable feeling when you realize that you're in a city (and a big capital city), but you've moved a hundred meters away, and the city has disappeared, dissolved, and the forest has eaten up all the city's smells and sounds. You realize that you are one on one with nature, that you are the master of the forest.
There is a small hill in our forest, surrounded on three sides by a wall of trees. Every time I walked, I made sure to reach it and stood for a few minutes at least on a small peak. And she looked at this white splendor. I would like to advise everyone who is disappointed in life and people to try to feel the pulse of this very life in the winter forest. It is in solitude, in a kind of natural vacuum, that you will realize that everything is transitory, and your problems are such nonsense against the backdrop of the majestic, wise truth of life. Come to the forest, find your peak and take a deep breath of this feeling of freedom, the joy of “just being", thoughtlessness, and love for everyone. And then drive down the mountain and realize that this is a small victory in your life that others will start with. It was crucial for me to go down the mountain this year, as I had a fear of heights after an unsuccessful bike ride.
And I moved out.
The most interesting thing is that each subsequent walk is not like the previous one. One time you will admire the amazing forest, the other – there will be a gorgeous ski slope, so sturdy, smooth, not yet trampled by Sunday walkers. In March, skiing takes place under the singing of birds and the first bright sun. Walking under the falling snow is also extremely cool. And real winter battles, when the cold wind burns your face and knocks out a tear, as if testing your strength. Yes, it happens in the forest, just like in life, but you're strong, you'll stand up. In general, all this needs to be experienced...
Of course, it's more fun and safer to ride in company. But single skating has its own charm. No need to look back at your partner, get distracted by conversations. You immerse yourself in your inner world and disappear into the vast realm of nature.
Amazing things are discovered during such walks. Somewhere you will see a carefully made bench, a turnstile, and somewhere the remains of a human presence: bottles, wrappers, a fire pit. After all, it's so cool to celebrate St. Valentine's Day or February 23 in nature, "a barbecue with cognac", so to speak. And don't clean up after a messy picnic.
In general, people in the forest are divided into two categories: skiers and walkers. Here are different people, and that's it. Anyone who gets on skis understands the laws of fitting into the world of the forest – he does not make noise (I have never seen a screaming skier). Although skiing is not an easy sport, there are few or practically no young people among forest skiers. Maybe they're all on the mountain side, but I doubt it. Mostly those who are over... a lot ride. And I must tell you, they ride well. I have enough time for an hour of riding, two at the most. There is such a pumping of the heart and lungs that mom does not grieve. And I'm only forty. I met an older woman who rolls out at least two hours, and sometimes even four. Skiers are very sociable and friendly people: they greet each other, exchange impressions and experiences. And for some reason, walkers really like to walk along the ski slope, not realizing what value it is - a ski slope that has been rolled up by more than one person...
And one last thing. The reaction of strangers to skiing is interesting: many people look at it with interest in transport on the way to the forest, someone wants a successful walk, someone admires the fact that you ride. And someone remembers that somewhere at home he also has skis and would like to find them. But this is such a common thing and just a great pleasure, which the Soviet school taught us to.
Goodbye, my good old winter forest. I look forward to next winter to come visit you again and bring my daughter with me and give her this splendor. However, I don't think we'll be parting for long – I'll come running to you soon. But you'll be different– springtime. See you! Kokeile FanTeam ja nauti pelaamisesta.
